Tag manager · free

A tag manager that lives outside your repo.

Manage every pixel and analytics script from a dashboard: load strategy, triggers and consent gating, live without a deploy. Free forever.

the problem

Why this breaks today.

✗

Tags in code are one merge away from vanishing.

A conflict resolution or a reverted branch silently drops a script. Nobody notices until the reports look wrong, sometimes weeks later.

✗

Every pixel change waits on a deploy.

Adding a conversion tag or swapping an ID means a ticket, a pull request and a release, for a change that has nothing to do with the product.

✗

The details are where tags break.

Load order, SPA route changes and consent rules are easy to get wrong in a hand-pasted snippet, and nothing tells you when they are.

how it works

How TracerKit handles it.

✓

One loader script, installed once.

Paste a single script tag. From then on every tag is configured in the dashboard and served from an edge-cached config, so a code merge can't touch it.

✓

Load strategy and placement per tag.

Choose how each tag loads (before interactive, after interactive, or on idle) and whether it goes in the head or body, instead of accepting whatever the vendor snippet does.

✓

Triggers that understand single-page apps.

Fire on load, on route change, on a click, form submit or scroll, on a purchase, or on a custom data layer event. App-router navigations count as page views, not just hard loads.

✓

Consent gating built in.

Mark each script as always-on, analytics or marketing. The loader holds back analytics and marketing tags until your consent platform grants that category.

questions

Asked and answered.

Is this a Google Tag Manager replacement?+

For most marketing sites, yes: it loads and triggers your tags without code changes. The difference is that TracerKit also checks the tags actually fire, which GTM's preview mode only does for your own session.

Does the loader slow down my site?+

The loader is small, loads async and reads its config from the edge. It fails open: if it can't reach TracerKit, your page loads normally without it.

Which sites does it work on?+

Anything that serves HTML: Next.js, Webflow, Framer, WordPress, Shopify or a hand-coded site.
