for saas

Signups and payments, counted every time.

Track SaaS signups and Stripe purchases reliably: tags managed outside your app, alerts when one breaks, and payments forwarded to ad platforms server-side.

the problem

What goes wrong today.

✗

Payments happen on Stripe's page.

Stripe Checkout runs off your domain, so the purchase pixel depends on a redirect back that blockers and closed tabs interrupt.

✗

Tracking lives in the product codebase.

Marketing pixels ride along with product releases. A refactor drops one and the growth team finds out from the dashboard.

✗

Purchase values go missing.

A purchase event without a value or currency still counts as a conversion, but ad platforms can't optimize toward revenue.

How it fits.

✓

Stripe purchases forwarded server-side.

A Stripe webhook on checkout.session.completed sends the amount, currency and hashed customer email to your ad platforms, joined to the visit through client_reference_id.

✓

Tags managed outside the app.

Marketing changes its pixels in the dashboard, without a pull request or a release.

✓

Value integrity checks.

Purchase fires without a value are counted separately, so a checkout sending zero shows up on the tag's health.

questions

Asked and answered.

Does it work with Stripe Checkout and Payment Links?+

The Stripe recipe listens for checkout.session.completed, which Checkout Sessions send. Set client_reference_id to the visitor's TracerKit id to join the purchase to their ad click.

Can I track sign-ups too?+

Yes. Push a sign_up event with the SDK's pushEvent and fire any tag from it with a custom event trigger, or forward it server-side through the generic webhook.

Will the product team need to change code?+

Once: the loader script and, optionally, client_reference_id on Checkout Sessions. Everything after that happens in the dashboard.
